What kind of mileage did you get off the first set?

How much and where did you buy them if you dont mind sharing?

About 35K but probably should have been replaced sooner. 37 mile commute each way, several autocrosses and 1 HPDE. Bought both sets from Tire Rack shipped to Tread Quarters for install.

Ya can't beat this combo!
Could I get your 'complete' tire size, please? I'm only including complete info in my survey results.

Thanks!

Interesting how many 17" rims there are. We don't have a clear winner yet. So far, Goodyear is coming out on top as the most popular Brand.

We need more data. Send it in . . .

Goodyear is popular by virtue of being a traditional brand. Don't blow off the Hankooks.

I'm not making any recommendations or judgements. Simply sharing the data. Implications are up to the reader.

Yokohama S-drives
205-45-17
2007 MCS &
2009 Clubman S
Already have bought again! Got 'em on the Clubman
So far a solid 9 (they did have a couple of hydroplane incidents in torrential rains, but that might have happened to anything as bad as it was raining)
The sons MCS has had them for about 7K miles and they're as quiet and sticky as the news ones on the Clubman. As far as I'm concerned these are great for less than a hundred bucks each.

Would Buy Again? (1-10 (Highest)) 2- very unlikely
BRIEF Comment Used them to replace the stock RFTs. Loved them off the installers lot. Hating them now with about 10k on them.

Would Buy Again (1 - 10): So far 8 - 9, always open to new ideas.
Brief Comment: With 4K +/- miles on them, All Season and Ultra-High Performance claims seem valid. Recent 1400 mile trip was very comfortable. At no time was I aware of the tires unlike previous RF's or Goodrich G-Force which are now on a rack with only about 300 miles on them.

Tire Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2
Size 205/45/17
Mini 2006 MCS Checkmate, Sport, LSD, 17" BBS RK's
Would buy again? 9. Great ride and grip, wears fairly quickly but these have seen some HPDE. I'll get two seasons (about 18k). Great in rain when newer. Some "ringing" noise on sharp bumps. Look classy, somewhat narrow looking but lots of meat to the tread.

WINTER
Tire Brand & Model: DUnlop Wintersport M3 non RF
Size: 195/55/16
MINI Model:Mini 2006 MCS Checkmate, Sport package, LSD, 16" OE 5-spokes
Would buy again? 10. Best blend winter tire I've ever owned.
Brief Comment: Blizzaks are better on ice (have tested back to back) but squirmier in the dry/wet. These are stable in all conditions, wear very well (2+ seasons), quiet and awesome all around. Great steering response for snows, as good as a decent performance all-season. No whining.

AUTOCROSS: (oh, wait - I need a set of those...)

Would buy again? 9
Comment: Absolutely wonderful for an all season, also just finished two days at the track and performance was good for an all season.
Will upgrade to summer/track tires and wheels for nice weather and track runs. Looking at the Yokohoma S-Drives for that.

2009:
Tire Brand & Model: Toyo R1R
Size: 225/45-15
MINI Model: 2004 MCS Works
Would Buy Again (1 - 10): Too soon to say.

2008:
Tire Brand & Model: Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec
Size: 195/55-15
MINI Model: 2004 MCS Works
Would Buy Again (1 - 10): 10
Brief Comment: One of the few truly high performance tires that I have used which was a pleasure on the street. Unbelievable wet grip - measured over 1g on a 60 degree cold and rainy day.
