2nd maintenance... warranty

hello mini lovers, my 2006 MCSa is going to be heading to its second maintenance since i bought the car. Isn't this pretty much the last warranty under the 36,000 or 3 years rule? I have 28,900 mileage right now, and I guess after my engine oil change, the next will be like 40,000 which has already surpassed the 36,000. Anyways, do you guys know if they do like full inspection on the car on the 2nd maintenance??? should i do wheel alignment after or is it ok to do it before??? thanks.

True, however Maintenance is only 3 years 36K, which would cover the oil changes, inspections and brakes.

The dealer will do, whatever the car is calling for, at 28,900 it is most likely an oil change. However, this could also be your first major inspection. You can check to see when various things are due(oil changes, major inspections, font and rear brakes, brake fluid) for you car by accessing the "Service Info" in the cars computer system. It will give you a mile countdown and a date for when they are due. Refer to your owners manual for instructions on how to access this information. If the car is not calling for anything other than an oil change then the dealer will not do it free of charge under the Maintenance Plan.

dealers have their laundry list of 2nd inspection items: brakes, fluids, supercharger belt, etc etc. Be glad it's under the 3/36, I hear these 2nd inspections can run anywhere between $800-$1300.

My mistake, I thought that this feature was available on all years but after some looking found that it is only available on the R56 generation, sorry. They will tell you at the dealer exactly what the car needs. If you want something above what the car is calling for done, they will do it but you will have to pay for it. Also, wheel alignment is not cover in the maintenance plan, so you can do that whenever you like. As a part of the oil service they check all of your fluids, breaks and stuff like that and will replace them if they can. MINI requires these items to be at a specific point before they can be replaced under the maintenance plan.
