I live in Harrisburg (Wormleysburg to be exact), but go to school out in Michigan, so I'm not around too often but whenever I am home I'm always in my Mini

 

Originally from Pittsburgh (bought my Mini there) and now live in Harrisburg. I joined the Carlisle group and it is fun hanging out with other Mini owners (and driving the cool Pa back roads!). Pittstop Mini is really active and I have heard some great things about Philly Mini - see if you can make some events!

 

thanks, 6 months have just passed and I'm loving my MINI and love love love the convertible!! I one major problem I have with the convertible is it is too cold to open it up! I must have said 4 times this week alone, "I wish it was spring"!!!
My husband thinks I'm obsessed too, but on rare occasion he does get the keys, he becomes obsessed!!!
Lucky you, you have a "his and hers"! I"m working on that too, but hubby isn't totally convinced to get rid of the Jeep for the clubman, but not giving up yet!

 

HI Erin, you have my attention, please explain about the random stuff, what am I missing??? MINI Earrings???? I want mini earrings...

 

Hahaha, Yeah I got little british flag mini earrings. And I also got a pair of union jack flags that I have below my side markers, which IMO look pretty cool. My bf also got a Lotus visor and polo for pretty cheap as well.

 

I don't have my MINI yet (I'll be ordering in March), but I've been reading as much as possible here on NAM...a buddy of mine in Harrisburg has a GP and I drove it a few months back, and I've been hooked ever since.

I live in Drexel Hill right now, but will be moving in with the other half sometime this summer, probably in the Eagleville/Audubon/West Norriton or Phoenixville area...

LOVE driving the back roads in the area now, can't wait to drive them in the MINI!

as for ordering in March, I had to wait a few months before ordering also, at first it seemed as if the time would never arrive to order, but it actually wasn't that bad. Good luck with the order and your move.

I'll be ordering an 09 Cooper S, Laser Blue/Black, Black Bonnet Stripes, Premium/Sport/Cold Weather, Anthracite Headliner, Rear Fogs, Hi-Fi....

I've been to the dealer (Main Line) a few times now already to see the Laser Blue in person - that is the hottest blue I've seen in a long time, and this'll be my 18th car!

I will definitely wave when I see fellow Coopers, so if you see a little bald guy waving from a dark blue Scion tC, don't be alarmed, it's just me

And once I get my MINI, I'd love to join the local MINI group - keep me posted on upcoming events and such...

Born and raised in good ol' Lehigh Valley, PA. There are quite a bunch of MINI's that I see which is great considering that only a year ago I never saw any. Unfortunately most of the people I see/wave to are all older people (I'm only 20). So youth of the Lehigh Valley, go out and buy a MINI please

YES! Except I'm getting the crown spokes, I think they make the MINI look like a full-size Matchbox car (and from what I can tell, they look easier to clean)...

I'm originally from Allentown and I get up there often, so I'll keep my eye out for you as well.

Yes also part of PHILLYMINI.ORG, I have been to several events. They are tons of fun and its great to meet other MINI enthusiasts. Took the Camry for an enthusiastic drive in the Santa Cruz (CA) Mountains last week, but its not the same as in the MINI. I can't wait til it clears up around PA, too drive in the mountains.

 

Hey, just down the road from you in Perkasie. We have both wheels (my wife the crown spokes-07 MCS, and me the webspokes-05 MCS) and I thought the same thing that the crown spokes should be easier to clean but they are a nightmare. I think maybe the 07 brake pads put out more dust and they get so dirty so fast that its tough to keep on top of. If we could do it again we would get the webspokes. Good luck with your new MCS! We will be on the lookout for you and will be sure to wave. Just wanted to share our experience.

 

We joined PHILLYMINI.ORG late last year but have not made it to any events. We didn't re-up yet this year and need to do so. Its good to see all the positive comments about them because we didn't know much about them. Any recommendations as far as what is a good meet for first timers like us?

 

Any and every event!!!!! I have enjoyed every single one that I have gone to!

 

dogdal, i agree with In the Pink on this one, we have only gone to a few but everyone makes you feel very welcome. If you join let me know we can meet at an event together.
by the way will be in your area in about an hour and 1/2 running over to Park Ave. for some tests.
but will be in a Jeep i'm sure Unless i can talk him into letting me drive!

Hello again all of you PA mini owners... do any of you use Wawa Gas-- the 92 octane??

Is it a good one to use???

I was told somewhere to use top tier gas. So I looked it up on the internet and it lists Turkey Hill as a top tier seller. So normally I use them. Once I could not find a station and was down to 1 mile till empty. I used WAWA and had no noticable problems.

 

shucks,,, so Wawa isn't considered top tier??? Not kdding, I really have no clue on that.


I saw a post on the top tier stations a while back but figured since Wawa in only in a couple states that it was left off for that reason,,,,hhhmmm,,,,at least you know that one tank didn't cause any problems,,,
