Another car with MINI headlights

Boy, other companies sure like the '05-'06 Mini headlights! First the Morgan Aero 8:

Now the 2009 Mitsuoka Himiko, which also has a Miata interior.

The Morgan Aero 8 has a weird way they mounted our headlights, notice the washers are on the outer edge rather then on the inside of the headlight ring?

They've reversed the lights - left side on the right and vice versa. The Morgan's headlights are mounted on the inside of the fender contour. Kind of gives it a cross-eyed look.

Yeah, Morgan swapped sides with the lights. I think it works better since they are mounted on the inside of the fenders.

The other day I saw a late 90's cavalier with our tailights with the R on the L and vice versa then rotated 90* so the tops were pointed to the center.

If I could have only grabbed my camera quick enough it would have been hella laughs here.

just my opinion, but i think those top 2 cars are fugly with the head lights. it doesn't match. A retro missile looking headlight with a classic chrome out look. fail.

Morgans always looked crosseyed to me...

Don't get me wrong, I still like them, but they do look crosseyed.

Haha, I think they intended it to look cross-eyed. Look up the 2001 Morgan Aero 8... IIRC, it was even more cross-eyed.

EDIT: Image here:

This is so utterly ridiculous! What is that guy thinking! Stock lights look so much better than those do on there. This is so funny.

That is pretty wild (well the head lights anyway). I wonder if it is a BMW part that is being out-sourced or just a very savy vendor that is selling the part to anyone they can.

You do realize the Aero 8 was introduced in 2000? A couple of years before the modern Mini.

Mini is copying the Morgan.

Probably BMW let them (Morgan) use the MINI headlights cause Moorgan also sources BMW V8 engines.
