Dealer sites down?

So it's currently 2:12AM EST and for the past 30min or so I've been unable to go to any dealer sites. Probably just scheduled maintenance but still interesting. I tried going to:

http://www.minipeabody.com/
http://www.morristownmini.com/
http://herbchambersmini.com/

I mean how am I supposed to get my MINI fix ! Maybe they're giving away free stuff tomorrow! A guy can dream.

All I get is this:

They're up now.
A lot of folks are without power today due to the storm yesterday. NEPEX( New England Power Exchange) issued a critical capacity alert yesterday. Expect to see some cycling of power throughout this weekend to restore services throughout the region. Mass was hit especially hard.
I'm the guy that puts the power to the grid.

Cool! Thanks for getting everything back up and working. I think I prefer the first snow of last year with 10+" of snow versus this ice storm. Hopefully there won't be too many other days like that this winter!

We do too.

It puts a lot of stress on the line crews. They work 24/7 in some pretty nasty weather. Ice sucks! People always get PO'd when we trim trees, but storms like this is why.
The line crews have been coming up from utilities all along the North Atlantic. The job is just way too big for one utility to handle. We may even have some of the guys from Ontario Hydro coming down out of Canada.

Public Service Announcement For NAM Members.

Anyone from Mass running a portable generator connected through the dryer/stove receptacle, make sure you are disconnected from the pole. When the power comes back, your generator will be smoked if it's hooked up without disconnecting from the pole.
You wouldn't believe how many folks run generators without opening the main breaker on their service panel. It also backfeeds the line and puts voltage on lines that should otherwise be dead, making repairs take longer.

You folks up in Mass take care.
