Charlotte, NC or Winston Salem, NC

Hi all.

I am hoping to order my Mini shortly. I am exactly 50 miles away from both Flow Mini in Winston Salem, NC and Hendrick Mini in Charlotte, NC. I was wondering if anyone had experience with either one of these places. I am looking for the best customer service. Since I am exactly the same distance away from both of them, I thought I would ask you guys.

Thanks
Matt

Hendrick MINI is by far the best when it comes to customer service.

I'm really happy with FLow mini.

(only thing so far needed was a software reflash).

22k miles.

Flow Mini! They could not do more to support their Mini owners with great Rallies, Track events and sponsoring such things as Phil Wicks driving schools at VIR.

Another big Flow fan here... they've gone out of their way to take care of me, offering free pickup and delivery of my car when they couldn't fix everything in one service visit (I'm two hours away). And have always been courteous, and have never refused to do anything I've asked of them nor given me any warranty hassles on my highly modified car.

I am in Charlotte and have ordered my second Mini from Flow. I have nothing bad to say about Hendrick and I may use them for some service but the staff at Flow went out of their way when we were shopping. They have Mini's you can actually test drive.

Did business with Frank Destasio at Flow Mini - great job and he even put up with my pestering. I would highly recommend him. My Clubman is on the lot and I hope to pick it up tomorrow. Where in NC are you located?? I'm about 50 miles from both, too!

Small world, huh! I shoot at a club in Lenoir off of 268 and am in Boone quite often. Good luck with your Mini - wherever you get it!

I don't live in the area anymore, but if I had my choice and both had good service as it sounds like they do from this thread, I'd go with the one easier to get to which would have to be WS as opposed to Charlotte.

I purchased from FLOW and have been pretty happy with them. Easy to deal with. I have heard good things from Hendrick as well.

I have no experience with Hendrick, but my purchase with Flow was extraordinary. We have been treated so right by them. Love the Clubbie, can't wait till our budget allows us to buy another Mini with them. Next one will be purchased at their new dealership closer to Raleigh! Flow really took good care of us and our Mini.

I bought from Flow, Drew was our MA and he did a great job. I would not hesitate to buy another one from Flow.

My son goes to Johnson & Wales in Charlotte. All he's had done so far is an oil change at Hendrick and he said they were very good to work with. Of course that leaves a lot to be desired when compared to buying a MINI. I did call Flow before we bought our Clubman and they were great to talk to as well. Good luck!

I can't say anything bad about the Charlotte dealer but Flow has been great!! For example, they sponsored a "free" track day at VIR in the spring and they have sponsored the Phil Wicks driving classes at VIR. They know more about their product than any dealer I have ever worked with before. I hate it when you go visit a dealer (non-Mini) and you, as the buyer, knows more about their cars than the sales guy.

I look forward to them opening up their new dealership in the Raleigh/Cary area in 2010 !!

Short version - we're VERY fortunate to have two VERY good dealers in the state... many, many horror stories in other areas about the (lack of) quality of their "stealerships".... hard to go wrong in NC... though I do give BIG kudos to Flow for their support of track events.

They were out again on Sunday and Monday at VIR for the last Phil Wicks event of the season, and sponsored a BBQ on Sunday night.

Where is the new dealership going to be exactly?
I'm 10 miles north of raleigh. WS is a real pain to get to.

They just recently announced that they were awarded the dealership by Mini. They are looking for locations....... I personally hope it is in the Cary Autopark !!

Dealership was approved for the Raleigh market, I heard they were planning for Cary, and are looking in the area of the Cary Autopark... not sure what's available around that... mostly bought up now by Hendrick, Johnson and Leith.

It is really a personal preference, but I think you will find not only will Hendrick have a better selection (you may not even need to order your MINI), but also a very experienced sales and service staff as well. I once worked there for three years as a M.A. and can vouch for the entire crew as caring and attentive to your every need.
