I have it bad..... think I may need serious professional help!

I have been stalking MINIs

I have a really lax job right now with not much to do unless an emergency comes up; but I can't leave the area. The company also blocks this sight on the computer. So I have been driving around the town I work in trying to find MINIs to can check them out. I am very careful not to smudge or drool on them.

I even got caught today; once I explain that I have a clubby on order they start chatting up a storm. The lady that caught me owned a very nice orange cabrio, I even referred her to NAM. Oh, and my friends think I am nuts..... Hopefully, I have some left by the time I take delivery of her

What has everyone else done while waiting to finally be able to drive their MINIs?

 

I have the same sickness as you.

Even though I am no where near the time where I can purchase a Mini, I often go to our local Mini Dealer and drool over the Mini`s in the parking. The same MA comes out and chats me up. She know`s that Im not purchasing one untill 09 and that it will probably be a used 06 but she takes the time to talk to me and listens to me ramble on!

I also check out the local classified`s to see what Mini`s are for sale and drive around during my lunch hour and walk around and drool all over them! I am always honest with the salesman and tell them that I am not here to buy, but they always offer me to go for a ride........ HOW can I say NO!

BUT with every ride i take I fall more and more in love! Its a dangeous thing i tell ya!

I have even found 4 Mini owners in the semi small town I live in and am constantly STALKING the houses looking from the edge of the road at each different Mini.

I cant wait untill June 09 till I can finally get some help trying to CURE my Mini OBSESSION!!!

My wife and I have gone as far as to play a "Punch Buggy" variant while driving around town:

The first to spot a MINI gets to Punch the other once.

Additional features like "S"'s, Stripes, Sunroof, Fancy Wheels, Identifiable after market upgrades/mods, etc. all get an additional Punch apiece.

When I'm too slow on the uptake, my very keen eyed wife sometimes gets 3-4 Punches on me on a good spotting and my arm looks black and blue

I do wonder however if other MINI owners think we're nuts though as they drive past/next us if the notice the friendly waving accompanied by a frantic flurry of Punches inside our MINI.

LOL.... I have to refrain from waving, I waved once and I got looked at like I was nuts. Probably, because I'm not driving a MINI but rather a p.o.s honda civic. My boyfriend wouldn't play that with me, he doesn't like MINIs to much, I'm hoping that once I get mine and he drives he might change his mind.

 

I always take note of MINIs wherever I am. I like to think of it as MINI spotting or, if in search of MINIs, MINI tracking. Stalking, though it sounds cooler, does have bad connotations these days.

Given this stalking propensity I was suspicious when I heard some thumping coming from my boot, but it turned out it was just groceries rolling around in my boot box.

 

If that's your idea of groceries, I've definitely been shopping at the wrong
supermarket...

 

My friend is the one who called it "stalker-tastic," I was leaving work the other day with my friend and I started to walk the opposite direction of my car. So, she asked "what are you doing, your car is over there." I replied, "I know, I'm just going to check out this MINI real quick." She starts laughing at me and says "That's Stalker-tastic!"
