Too tall

I'm 6'5'', my 15 year old son is 6'3", my 14 year old son is 5'9" and my wife is 5'6". Last spring we went to the Dragon in April, quite comfortably, from Michigan. We stopped at Mammoth Caves in Kentucky and got out of the car where a man and his wife were sitting on their tailgate eating. They stopped and laughed at us, and asked how we could all fit in that tiny car. We just laughed and said "No problem". We drove the Dragon five times in two days, alternating drivers and had a great time. We continued our 10 day trip and had great fun. We did have to pack a little lighter than usual but were wanting for nothing. Looking to do it again next Spring!

6'2" and 300+. I have to pull the seat up to reach the pedals properly. I'm constantly asked how I fit in the car. I know, I need to lose some weight!!

5'9" and I sing and "rock out" too. I also yell at the other drivers, then am terribly embarassed when I remember that the sunroof is open.

6'5", 38" inseam. I've still got some room to slide back.

6' 8" - 6' 9".

Yeah, I was glad when I found a small car that I could fit in, to say the least.

No issues with headroom, untill today at my first autocross. Those helmets are huge.

As everyone's mentioning their inseam, mine's 29". The short stubby legs means there's more of me from the seat up than most people, and headroom's usually my problem. The MINI of course has plenty of space for me.

(Of those who mentioned it, only Gromit at 6'7" has a longer torso.)

Does that mean I've got stubby legs and a long torso, or a giant head?

I think one of the reasons taller drivers have few problems with the MINI is that the fore-aft adjustment on the front seats allows you to make the back seats completely useless if you need to.

I don't need to put the seat all the way back, but if I wanted to, I could have the front seatback resting against the rear seat cushion. If the MINI engineers had limited the amount of front seat travel in order to keep the utility of the back seats available at all times, things would be a lot tighter up front for us tall guys/gals.

My last daily driver was a 1972 Mercedes coupe that was *huge*. It had the exact same overall length as a Hummer H1, but it actually had *less* front legroom than the MINI, because the front seat wasn't designed to go far enough back to cut off the rear passenger's legroom.

I'm surprised you can even see over the steering wheel!

I'm 6'5" and a lanky 220 LBS. I fit nicely in the MINI as long as I wear "My driving shoes" It's my size 12's that make it difficult to drive sometimes. I took off the peddle pads to make more room for my feet. It's a real thrill when your foot gets stuck going for the brakes!

I have a friend that's close to 6' 8" and 300 LBS. It's kinda funny to see us both in the MINI. No room in the back seats that's fer shure.

Man those have got to be some amazing ears!

Yes, seriously, I am 5'3" tall. I used to be 5'4" tall, but my doctor swears I am 5'3" and that I have shrunk an inch in the last decade or so. I told him that I'm in my 30s and there's no excuse for shrinkage, he said that it must have been all that nicotine that I consumed in my 20s that caused it.
