My other car is a MINI too

Just wanted a fun thread instead of the more serious ones. I wondering how many people have owned multiple Minis and what is different about each one.

This thread has been moved from Tires and wheels forum to General MINI Talk.

Multiple MINIs is more and more common. Either classic and newer MINIs or multiples of older and newer MINIs or different body styles. His and her MINIs is common. One MINI for performance (track) and one for daily use is common. One base and one cooper S or one automatic and one manual is common.

A little more rare would be three or more new MINIs but I know some that have that as well.

Multiple classics is common, 2 or 3 at least. Plus they are small to start with.

We've had 4 and still have 2. In order they are:

04 R50, Indi Blue/White. Our first foray into MINIs.

05 R53, Purple Haze/White. When we kept arguing about who'd get the MINI to drive.

07 R56 Cooper, Lightning Blue/White. At last a 6 speed Cooper, replaced the R50 but they stopped making Indi Blue. Turns out to be even better than an R50. We got the Leather/Cloth seats in blue, we found they were more comfortable.

08 R56 Cooper-S, Dark Silver/Black. We agonised over changing the R53, but its too confusing to have an R53 and an R56, the controls are so different. They stopped making Purple Haze, so we went radically different. We also got the cloth/leather this time in red.

We picked up an 03 Cooper this summer for my wife and for my daughter. I've had my 02 Cooper since new.

Only one so far. Maybe another when my kids start driving, because they're not getting their hands on mine.

We got started with a 2003 MINI Cooper.
Next was a 1973 mini cooper.
Next was a 1963 mini pickup.
Haven't gotten rid of any of them, I like all of them. If I get anymore I'll have to figure out how to get 4 minis in the garage instead of 3.
