Warranty on OEM MINI accessory parts?

I bought JCW side scuttle inserts and carriers from Outmotoring. Installed them without a problem. Unfortunately, one of the inserts is now missing. Is there any warranty on OEM parts purchased from non-dealers? Outmotoroing could only offer to let me reorder new parts for $.

I can't see how the insert would fall out, seems like the hood would have to be open for the part to be removed unless it was defective.

Ideas?

Side Scuttles can be removed from the car without the bonnet open

Usually, they need to return the old part to the manufacturer if it is warranty.

The inserts will fall out if not installed correctly. They have a snap on the back that does always kick into place. So when you slide the scuttle onto the carrier, you need to make sure the snap/catch on the back is locked into place. If you do, the vibration will make it come loose and it will fall off.

Would that be covered under warranty, I really doubt it, but you can always go the dealer and give it try. Never hurts to ask, they can only say no .....
