MINI problems... thumbs up to MINI of Pitt!

The Captain had been having some issues for a few weeks. He didn't want to start in the morning. Took two or three tries before he got going. So we decided it was time to do some maintance. We (husband and I) changed the air filter, spark plugs & wires, and fuel filter. We had just changed oil about a month earlier so we didn't bother with that. The service engine light still wouldn't go off - continued to tell us to that #1 injector was clogged. We put injector cleaner in him - He still stuttered around and just wasn't acting right.

Finally, we took the ol' boy to MINI of Pittsburgh - the nearest dealership to us. My husband was there ALL day Thursday. Turns out that The Captian needed some software updates and the OIL FILTER HAD COLLAPSED!!! Turns out that the Fram filter doesn't work for the MINIs. (I hate them anyway, but Husband insisted it would be fine....) Since we had him there, we went ahead and got the sqeaks out of the back, had them fix the back window squirter and got some new floor mats. All was well... Husband left Pitts. at around 3, got 12 miles down the road and The Captian overheated. MINI of Pitt sent a car out to fix it and he was back on the road....for about 6 more miles before overheating again. At this point, MINI of Pitts came and GOT the Captain and gave my husband the service car for the night ('08 MINI Convertabile). It was fun and I got tangles in my hair I thought I'd never get out - but I missed having the supercharger. I like the extra power!!

Anyway, the Captain ended up also needed a new thermastat. All fixed, MINI of PItt delivered my car to me at work! We were super impressed!! It's almost a 2 hour drive. My car runs like new and I LOVE love LOVE my car!! So happy to have him back on the road and had a wonderful experience with MINI of Pitts!!!

Good to hear!!
If you have a NAPA store near you, the WIX #7303 oil filter will work.
Only one I've used for 150k miles!

Cheers!
Jim
