Wow! Thanks Mini USA!
Wow! Thanks Mini USA!
MTTS Chicago was amazing yesterday
my kids had the time of their lives!
This was our first time, but certainly not our last ...were hooked.
Plenty of activities for the kids, they played and had fun all day. Lots of great cars and people
we got to see some old friends and were happy to make some new ones.
Lots more to talk about later ...I have to get the car cleaned out now for the Mrs, it's her turn with our Mini today.

It was a good time so far. Sorry we didn't get to meet yesterday. I'm heading out to the Ridemakerz store in a little bit to see who's coming. I'll post pics later.
did you see MINI USA's Jim McDowell in the dunk tank?!?!

We had a GREAT time @ MTTS. The only thing that marred the day was the HORRENDOUS traffic on I-94, and then again on the Parade Lap @ the track!
The highway traffic was totally out of MINI USA's control. Seemed to be the road construction, and (especially) those knuckleheads waiting to get into Great America that screwed everything up. Once we got by that mess., the road opened up, and it was clear sailing up to the track.
The stop and go traffic inspired my wife to blurt out "Instead of 'MINI Takes The States', they should have called this event 'MINI Hits The Brakes'. Well, I was laughing so hard, I was almost forced off of the road at Great America to make an unscheduled pit stop.
Maybe this would have been a more appropriate logo for the day?

PLEASE, MINI USA....do not sue me....it's all in good fun. However, if I could have figured out how to print up a couple hundred of these baby's on t-shirts between Lincoln Park and Road America, we could have been RICH!!!!

We left early from Downers Grove and got there about 11 a.m. encountering NO traffic problems along the way.
Now had I remembered the sunscreen I'd be feeling better today.
The kids caught "the Moding Bug" and decked out there new remote control Minis this afternoon.
The perfect end to a really fun weekend.
