Oil Drain Valve?

Anyone using the Oil Drain Valve (i.e. Moss MINI $ 20.00) in lieu of the regular oil pan screw in plug? I'm thinking it would be better than having to replace the plug after a few times, since you don't have to remove and re thread the Valve.
If you've used one for a while...Let's hear about it. Does it leak after a few turns on/off? Does it fit properly? Can it be used on ALL MINIs?
My mind is hungry. Please feed it!

I had installed a few weeks ago and so far, no leaks or drips. Believe me, if I would not have seen it, my old man sure as hell would have said something about oil on the driveway. As far as long term, I have no idea but the mechanism is pretty stiff so I would imagine it's there for the long haul.

I've been using one for 5 years now. No leaks or nay other problems. Mechanism has stayed nice and tight. Since I am only opening/clsoing it once every few months I don't really expect it to get loose.

GEN1 only

this is a great thing for a GEN1 and eliminates the over torqued/can't get the sucker out drain plug many have suffered. I have one on my 02....no leaks. Go to the makers web site and you'll see that the primary users are farm equipment and big rigs...these suckers are tuff. If you are really paranoid it would be easy to rig a safety lock wire

This is NOT a viable option for a GEN2 however. The GEN2 fitment would have this valve sticking straight down from the pan just BEGGING to be torn off.
