I may as well. For weeks after AMVIV, I had the nastiest cold in my life (I can STILL feel it!).
For several days my voice sounded just like Barry White.

LOL, thx 70spop, I was surprised nobody had suggested that one as I read through to pages.

I still laugh when I come back and think of that on a plate, it's perfect! I want to start making shifters so I can use it!

Okay, it's time to announce a winner (though I've seen a LOT of winners here!).

I feel like the guy on The Bachelor; "I love you all; I wish I didn't have to choose just one; this is so hard to do...blah, blah, blah, schmooze, schmooze..."

All right; drumroll please............................................ .........................I'm going with MRSHFTR, submitted by Marco621.
I like the way it just rolls off the tongue; Mister Shifter, Mister Shifter....

There were so many great ideas submitted, I already want another MINI, just for the cool vanity plate!

Thanks to all of you for your efforts!

Happy Motoring! And thanks again!

Now can we play the game where we show what we would have liked to have won, even though we didn't?

I'd better remember to specify the proper space when I order it!

With any luck, I'll have the plates by Winter.

Well, there were many, many good ones.
I'd have to say that my second and third choices were SHFTNEZ and EZSHFTN, both from Marco621. Maybe he and I think alike; I don't know.

But the more I look at it, SHFTURS from Goodwood looks better and better.
I like the fact that it can have several different meanings.

Since getting my MINI last February, my plan has been to sell my '99 M Roadster.
Having one fun car is great; owning two makes me feel a little uncomfortable.
But I can see one of these cool vanity plates on that car, should I decide to keep it.
What a silly reason for keeping a car, yes?

I don't think anyone submitted this before, so you might want to consider this one for your next MINI. Since your ***** are high class, it fits.

I've got a great story about custom plates and I couldn't resist sharing...

In Texas, the DMV is supposed to check the plates for suitability... not allowing swearing or off-color references, etc.

One of my local MINI club members, a British ex-pat, thought that it would be funny to have 'TEABAG' on her license plate and was quite proud of her selection. She announced it to the club a week or so before the plates were due to arrive. Once I stopped laughing and dried my tears, I had to provide a link to the Urban Dictionary definition for her (I couldn't bring myself to post the full definition on the board). She had never heard of the word having that particular, off-color definition. Unfortunately, she had to call the DMV and explain the problem (and the definition!!! I would have loved to hear that phone conversation) to them. They nicely pulled the plates from production and substituted a new selection.

Yikes! Nice rescue!

But I admit to having had to look up that one myself!
