I got a letter from MINI in the mail today. There was a note that said "Rumor has it there might be a new MINI headed your way. Now it's time to visit the driveway, garage or parking venue of your choosing (as long as it's yours) and stake out a little territory for you and your MINI." Attached was a stencil for "MINI PARKING ONLY".

Anyone else get this? Please say no and tell me I won a sweepstakes for a brand new MINI!

I got one too, I think they send them out to prospective buyers and people who send in builds? That's what I did, I sent over an R52 build and was mulling the idea over when they sent me mine!

i hadnt gotten one either, and had heard that a lot of other people did, so i just emailed miniusa about a week ago, and finally got one in the mail yesterday.

Yes I got one a couple of days ago, I was surprised when I opened the envelope, and found the stencil inside.

 

I got mine after I ordered Gromit in 2006.

 

I'll trade you one of my stencils for one of your MINIs.

 

Is this the same stencil that was in some magazines (home subscriptions only)?? Was it a green stencil? Anyone have a photo?

Got it, and my OCD hubby won't let me use it to spray the space in the garage hot pink. The nightly backrubs may just have to stop!

 

hm.. same boat here.. two minis.. one an 06 and an 08.. and no stencil.. dangit.. now that i think of it.. where am i going to park my mini? if i dont have a stencil to mark my territory.. bummer.. ill have to send a letter or sumthing.. or.. build the new red one i want.. my dream is to have my own lil italian job in my driveway

I just got one of these today, which is odd as 1) I bought my MINI privately, 2) I haven't ordered a new build 3) I've not saved a build via the website either.

 

I am the type of person that can attend an event for 100 people with a gaurantee 100 prizes to give away...........and still come home empty handed.

I got the MINI note and the stencil late last week. The stencil is buff colored, heavy weight recycled paper, akin to some greeting cards. I've had my MINI for the past 15 months, and am not aware of having entered any contest or sweepstakes.

We've had our 05 cabrio for almost three years, and we haven't received a stencil either.
