Having subscrbed for a number of months awaiting the delivery of my Clubman S, I have read a good number of blogs. My impression is that there are a few old timers like myself, but that a large number of MINI owners (both series) are young, as well as many are female. Has there been any marketing done and results posted as to MINI ownership as far as age and sex are concerned? What about NAM participants?

 

This would be a fine topic to conduct a poll on...

 

Many who have come before you have wondered and tried to figure out the MINI demographic too....good luck with that.

I don't know about a gender based poll

 

i tried to get this exact same answer when i was initially at the dealership, prestige, the answer i got from them is...."its all over the map" there are obviously demographics on mini....but....what they told me is that they have had very yound to very old m/f come in buying cars....

 

Based on the membership in the St. Louis MINI Club, age and gender range from one end to the other. I don't think you can pick a demographic except 'all the above'.

Hey admins, maybe this can be stickied?

 

I'm close to the youngest (at 26) in my local club. There's one other single young woman, and they rest are older (not OLD, just older than me) and married, as far as I know. Lots of 30's-40's-50's couples with at least one MINI. Even if I weren't happy with my boyfriend, I've yet to meet an opposite-sex MINI owner close to my demographic (well, close, but "attached").
"General" age of a MINI buyer (new, of course) is 40+, with another group of mid-20-somethings.
