Jersey Dealers?

So it's time to go in for my first service... does anyone have any comments or anything as far as the Jersey dealers go? I know that my car came from Prestige, but I'm not sure if I should go to them, or Princeton, or Morristown.

Honestly, I just want to go somewhere to have a good service experience without paying something ridiculous, and maybe test drive an R56 while I wait. So without factoring in distance, is there a dealer that's head and shoulders above the rest?

We've had good experience with Prestige.

Friends have had good experience with Morristown, so we may go there next as they're closer.

Princeton? Well... we live 5 minutes from Princeton yet drive 2 hours to Prestige... no good experiences there with the MINIs or 2 BMW's before them...

General maintenance work, however, I do myself.

Whoa, that's quite a hike. Granted, like you, I'd be just as willing if that means I'll get good service and an overall better experience.

Anyone have any words to say about Morristown then?

Can anyone PM me with any details of your experience with Princeton Mini with respect to service? I'm about to go there in a week for my first oil change and tire rotation.

I've had great experience with Morristown Mini so far...
Both buying the car and servicing...

One thing with Morristown, they won't give loaners if they are just changing the oil... but I can walk home from there . I've been known to dump the car in the evening and pick it up early AM...

I have gotten a loaner when I had a dash squeak fixed... the head mech is knowledgable, and they are mod-friendly (including performing the mods if you can't)

On the flip-side I have a co-worker with the excact same car from Prestige (near my parents), and has only good things to say about them too.

Hmm, this is tough. Does Prestige give out a loaner for oil and regular service intervals? I figure if I'm getting the dealer to do all this, might as well have a different car for a day or so. Do they give out R56's?

Also, I think on my 2004 MCS with 46k on it, I should probably have them do a once over for anything the warranty covers...?

PMed.

I recommend going to morristown or prestige. I have no experience with prestige, but morristown is a revelation compared to princeton. Isaac (don't know if he's still there- service manager at pton) certainly tries hard, but the people who do the work just aren't good at it. I don't want to go into all of it here, but let it suffice to say that I live 10 min. from pton and will not go back for service. I'm out of warranty and track my car, so with all of the track inspections and upkeep I have to do, the car stays in good shape that way. Plus, the prices for inspections are a little ridiculous. I'm actually debating whether or not I'm going to do my second inspection I. I'm at 60k, so I think it's coming soon.

Isaac at Princeton is great. he always tries to do his best for you. but the SA trying to do his best and the mechanics trying to do their best are totally different things. i live in Levittown on the border of NJ but now i drive 1h45m south to OTTO's of West Chester. its the best.

I use Otto's in PA for service and Morristown NJ for internet purchases. Both have provided me excellent service.

Jimmy in service at Princeton is the best salesman I've worked with at that dealership besides my MA, Matt Lunetta.
