I did like his comments about the Cooper after each drive. However, I detest Motor Trend as an enthusiasts magazine.

I think I gave up on them when they voted the Vega as car of the year. I know I stopped subscribing to them then.

Of course, they did a bang up job when they announced a Cadillac as car of the year this year as well. Yeah, let's build that credibility. LOL!

Just the overall credibility of thier rag has left me most unimpressed.

I am not a fan of Car and Driver either. They should just change thier name to "BMW r US". The straw that broke the camels back there was a sport sedan shootout. BMW won of course, even though the Beemer had many eletrical problems. Even though the Beemers DSC was acting up, so they said (they used results from an earlier testing of the car for the article). They even used the performance test from another car as the one they had just did not feel like it was running right.

I used to read R&T, but it has been a long while. I really just gave up on the lot of them after being burned by two of them so badly. I will admit that some of the writers are entertaining to read as long as you are not taking them seriously.

Amen!. Written for the regular guy/gal. They have practicality in mind in their write-ups.
