Most expensive build for the 08

The build came out to 51,415k, not to include after assembly installation which could make the final cost at about $55,000.
I pretty much selected the most expensive of everything and being as realistic as possible for the things I would get. The things I excluded were car covers and things similar to that. This came with 18 inch JCW wheels, Nav, suspension mods, and tuning kit stuff which are the most expensive parts.

If money was no issue would you make a build like this.
Key words..."money wasn't an issue". or is it, "i'm not into a mini that bad"

My dream CLubman came in at like $45,000.00. That does not include the custom paint or all the work that would have to be done after delivery.

No....because I would much rather have a regular MINI for $17k (mine) and buy another used one, strip everything, swap an engine, etc. and make a track car, all for cheaper than that.

Mine came in at just under 30K including doc fees and taxes. However, my 7-year-old son is addicted to building MINIs on line, and has come up with an 07 cabrio S for 58K! I don't know how he does it, but he knows what he's doing, and caught a problem when I submitted my order. I'll never forget that little voice asking about the chrome exterior package!!! Now if he can only stop writing his numbers backwards.

Ok, sorry about the ramble. Back to the thread now!

I think there is some redundancy in the configurator. You can order the JCW kit twice and some other things twice. So one might be installed with the car and the other shipped with the car....but the MA would catch that.

Nah. I'd probably have the JCW tuning kit and few other niceties, but it wouldn't be a "loaded" car.

I do like the look of the 2 piece 18" JCW wheels (at $3,250), but even if money was no object, I'd probably skip 'em for some lighter, maybe wider, aftermarket ones.
