Whoo! Whoo!! Almost zere

The wait is almost finally over: I am picking mine up on Saturday afternoon (leaving to Portland at 7am on Saturday). I sold my old Honda and will be "car-less" for about 24 hours

- Train tickets to Portland: Check (Thanks KXLight for the coupon code )

- Three weeks of drinking and eating out every night to avoid drinking/eating on the long MINI drives: Check (MINIBernation)

- Insurance: Check (<3 Safeco for giving me an awesome quote)

- Google maps printouts: Check

- Enthusiasm: Cannot keep in check :impatient

I'll post pics in this thread once i get him.

Try to show a little enthusiasm! Congrats on being so close that you can almost taste it! I guess I probably don't need to remind you to post some pics when you can...

I just have one acronym

OMG <-

Jarid was awesome and patient (highly recommended!) as he helped me through the final process. I felt really goofy/silly/noobish but he's finally home!

Here be the photos:

My buddy going around with the proverbial comb...

He's finally home.

Thank you everyone for helping me and Thanks Jarid!

I'll post high res shots later - now i have to go check on my boy.

Yours wasn't in the lot KXLight . I asked Jarid if yours was around so i can take a photo - Jarid said that was because of the space limitation in the lot. The car is so much fun to drive . Hang in there for a few more days .

Edit: The drive back home was good - make sure your wife/friend keeps an eye on the speedo - it's so easy to go way past the speed limit and not realise it.

I'm sure my wife would be able to keep an eye on the huge center speedo for me no problem.

Thanks for asking about my car! I wonder where they store it! Guess someone else was getting the same color scheme as me.

Hahaha, I don't blame you...

And hey, the front license plate doesn't look that bad at all!

Yep, i figured i'd have a fun and a legal ride. I don't think it looks bad and i've seen a MINI in my parking lot which doesn't have front plates - rather have a plate and not worry about it
