Buying MINI accessories question...

Is there anywhere to buy Mini accessories other then the dealer or are we pretty much stuck with the prices they charge? Does anywhere give discounts?

I am interested in the rear mounted bike rack, but $640!!!

Does that $640 price include installation? Check out morristownmini.com. They do give a discount on accessories. They list the rear bicycle carrier (for 2007-on) for $388 from a MSRP $485. Ask your dealer to match their price, and haggle the install charge.

If you check out Morristown MINI, they generally have better prices than you'll get by walking into a local dealer, and Morristown will ship pretty much anywhere.

Morristown has the rear-mounted bike rack for $388, plus another $58 for the required installation kit, for a total of $446.

That still sounds like a lot for a bike rack to me, but at least that's 30% less than the $640 your dealer quoted you (unless the $640 included the labor charge for installation).

Thanks for the quick replies guys!!! Morristown is great, looking at that site now, what a difference.

Your right, it is still a lot, but closer to what I was expecting to pay. At least there are options now

No, 640 is not installed, lol.

Thanks again!!!!
