Keeler MINI (good/bad/indifferent?)
Keeler MINI (good/bad/indifferent?)
Hey guys/gals, i'm potentially moving to Latham, NY from DE so the nearest dealer would be Keeler MINI. I was wondering what experiences people have had? I havent come across anything useful from a forum search.
Im a little concerned since i'll be coming out of the warrantee soon, and as much as I love my MINI, I just wont put up with poor service from a dealer. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks All!

I've not had service there myself, but I've heard good things about them. I have friends who have bought Minis there, and they speak highly of them. (I'm from the other end of NY, and bought & service my Mini at Towne in Buffalo.Good service there too!)
I have had no problems with 2 MINIs serviced at Keeler - all work has been under warranty so far. They are in business to stay in business and the SAs are very helpful - but just like anything else it is best to keep yourself informed and know what is going on - also gotta remember that they are a profit making organization. They allow customers into the shop area so don't be shy. I once offered a tip ($) to a tech for work well done and he said thay could not accept it. I asked the SA to activate my OBC and they did it for free - could have charged me but did not. Also parts are not marked up - replacement air filter (should be replaced at least twice as often as service schedule) was less than $10!
So far very good.

I purchased my car from keeler and it was a pleasant experience. I never really had any service done there except for a NY safety inspection and a minor rattle in the first week of ownership. The tech I dealt with seemed to be very knowledgeable and friendly. I was allowed to watch the service being done inside the bays. The shop is clean and well organized. Keep in mind the dealership also sells BMW's, MB's, Jaguars, and Hondas.
