Seriously... Does ANYONE Like Their R56??
Beware the "problems" threads. No one would buy a car if those were all they read. R53's cracking windshields, yo-yo and all the rest. Despite problems there is a high owner satisfaction with these cars, and this from a group that in general pays attention to their car(s). These are not your usual Solara owners. Camrys. Accords. All fine cars in their own way but they provide a different sort of satisfaction. My eighty-two year old mother drives a Solara. Slowly, and in the left lane. Somehow I don't see her climbing in and out of a MC, handicap tag hanging from the mirror.
Nope.. POS.. junk.. hate it.. would never buy another..
(Hopefully this will discourage anyone else from buying one so I won't have to see myself coming around every corner.. while I continue to drive the best, most exciting, most fun car I've ever owned...)

You never know! My mother grabbed her handicapped sticker, hobbled into my MINI, and spent the next 5 hours with the biggest grin on her face waving at total strangers

I got worried about buying an early-build R56--solely because of the many threads about R53 problems. There are SO many serious problems with them, right?
Seriously, take boards like NAM with a grain of salt--so many happy buyers of both types don't post and aren't represented.
I have nearly 10,000 miles, and yes, I DO love my R56.

I did..and I do!! My purpose in starting this thread was to get the good out in the open and it has
My plan is to buy an R56 for my daily driver and turn my R53 into a track car.

It sounds like she had a great time.
(even if it's only 15 miles or so each way)
