At a MINI event yesterday, I came across these chrome wheels on an awesomely constructed '02. I thought they looked quite sharp and blended well with the car's motif. Of course, these are a bit more conservative than some, which is probably why I like them so much...

Just goes to show that chrome *can* work in the right circumstances.
I remember seeing that car on NAM before, it's a NAM'ers car I think

Yep. In some circumstances that do NOT involve wheels.

Just my opinion, of course, but chrome wheels *always* make a car look cheaper.

Hey - look at the bright side - if THOSE wheels are not dented, that Mini's been driven carefully! Not quite my style though, I agree.

The only case where I'd disagree with you are chrome wire wheels on small sporty cars (especially small British sporty cars).

Bling should be cause for felony arrest. Cruelty to a Mini.

Chrome wheels are not bad themselves, but chrome wheels that big are just wrong.

I have 16" Chrome Minilite look-a-likes. It is a nice look without being too much.

I'll pass on the ginormous wheels. I'll take an order of the ba donka donk fries instead.
