Classic Mini

I live in Reno, NV and during the month of August Reno/Sparks has a giant classic car get-together which draws cars from all over the country. We don't have a Mini yet (hopefully soon), but we do own a 1966 Ford Mustang which we had parked at one of the local casinos so we can check out all of the other cars. There is always an abundance of American muscle at this event with the occassional European vehicles making an appearance. To my excitement and glee we came across a british green 1972 Mini in really good shape. I got so excited my husband just walked away from me . It seems he is getting tired of me getting excited every time I see a Mini and my constant text messaging to remind him I still want one. He knows there is only one way to rectify the situation. He does not know that the solution will only make it worse. And I don't even have a Mini yet! Is this normal?
