MINI in Extreme Temps
MINI in Extreme Temps
I have had my 06 MCS for a year now. Our climate (Winnipeg, Manitoba) is somewhat known for it's extreme temperatures from season to season. Last winter we had a cold snap where we reached -40C (windchill was below -50C) and this past week we just had a hot humid patch where the temp was 35C (humidex was 48C).
The outside temp on the steering wheel guage read 36.5C the other day and last winter it would not go below -33.0C (I don't blame it..lol). I find the guage to generally be accurate +/- 2 degress C.
Just wondering who has seen higher or lower numbers?

You will need winter tires. I only missed 2 driving days due to snow depth last year, Mini was great in the snow. The A/C has been great in this heat wave as well.
