Show me your... gloves ?!

I'm looking into buying some driving gloves. Why ? I don't know...
maybe because I think they are cool looking...
maybe because it reminds me when I was a child and took my older brothers car keys, put the gloves on and ... just sat in the car
maybe because a glove box should stand up to its name ?

Can anybody share which ones you bought and where you got them ?

Thanks,
Volker

I got the traditional English Stringback driving gloves from Moss. Stirling Moss used to wear them when he drove in F1. Who am I to argue with Stirling Moss?

See your point
And they look really great from what I've seen on the web.

Does anybody else have some input ?

I thought of getting gloves for the twisties. Several of the guys in our MINI club use them and swear by them. But then the girly girl chick in me kicked in...with the top down and sun blaring, gloves will leave some hellacious tan lines.

I ordered the String-back gloves from Moss Mini. Hi there Gromit !
Haven't had a chance yet to drive with them but will this weekend.

I use motorcycle gloves and they work just fine for me. I can't remember what they are called, but I have had them for some time.

I won a set of driving gloves during a raffle this past weekend at the 2nd Annual National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund put on through Se7en Cities Mini. It was my first Mini event. Also won a metal MINI MOTORING HEARTS badge.

I'm not sure I'll use them, but I guess I'll stick them away in case we do a trip to The Dragon. They are the from the Mini catalog part number 80 16 0 428 506. They are very soft leather and even have the gear shift embedded in the right hand palm area.
