Yeah..they lied.
I got stuck with some expensive BMW
I hope they've changed their policy then, because when I asked last year the MA said no, not enough cars.

I've never gotten a loaner from any dealership for any of my past or present cars.

I bought my car at the same dealer I get my service work done, and I've usually had a MINI for a loaner. One day, my MA even lent me his own JCW. I also once had a brand new X-5 for 4 days when then were trying to chase down my "whistling sound" problem.

Checkered Flag MINI in Virginia Beach gives MINI loaners if they are available and you usually have to book an appointment 2 weeks in advance to get a MINI. Otherwise it is a Toyota rental usually a Corolla or a Yaris. - larry

My dealer, Crevier, provides loaners. Its typically Beamers or MINIs. I was told it was part of the "level of service" that I paid for. I am very happy with this perk.

I've had a loaner for a long time . . . it was the Saturday before last that I took my S convertible in. The loaner is just a Cooper but it is a convertible. Of course, this is the fourth time I've brought my S in for the same repair . . . the parts took a while because they had to get them from Germany (some British Car, eh?). The fact is, I'm surprised they don't give BMWs as loaners . . . I'd be such a pushover to go to the next level. I'm not likely to trade my S in for a car which a Harley blew away the second day I had it. I'd think a car dealership would use the expense of providing loaner vehicles to try to sell cars. Give Esses to Cooper owners, Z3s to S owners, 325 wagons to folks waiting for the Clubman.

My MA gave me a CoopS to take to the company show & shine. When it goes for check ups, they pick it up at work and give me a loaner Coop....Impecible service considering they are the only game in town for 600 miles in any direction!

I do get a loaner from Toyota, even though I did not purchase the car there!

My bf said the same thing to me when I had to take my car in for his first oil service last week.

I think he's just a little jealous cuz everytime he's gone to that same dealership for service, he gets stuck with a non-MINI, non-BMW loaner.

Well, hopefully my MC auto, will not have the engine problem, rattles, etc.. that I am hearing about and I won't be spending the night in my car, at the dealers...it is not very close to me. It is due to arrive end of July, early August. Not sure what production week that is. Reading about the problems has me worried!

mine does but I have yet to have a service. I'm due for my first oil change in a few hundred miles. When I purchased the car, they told me the loaners would all be MINI's. We'll see
