Hard to believe, but tomorrow I'll turn over 5000 miles on my new R56, delivered 2/21. It's been virtually blemish free driving, too. Two issues--an occasional cruise control "dropout," and a dash rattle that turned out to be the radar detector.

That's all. Not bad for a new design. (Of course, I'm knocking on wood.)

 

My 02 MC has just over 40,000 on it. Besides the fact that I LOVE driving my Mini, it's just sooo much fun. It sounds like you're having fun too!! I've been really fortunate enough not to have anything major wrong, car wise. Good Luck to you and your Mini for the ??? miles to come.

 

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that I've been on several fun drives, 2 autocrosses, lots of *extra* errands, inumerable runs on my "special" roads, etc.

With all this, and the usual stop and go traffic, I'm averaging some 33 MPG. Not bad for a car that happens to be more fun than a barrel of monkeys!

 

They're all FUN drives!!! I find myself driving to another town on the flimsy excuse that our local store didn't have the aloe lotion tissues I prefer! I love the name Zippeee!! Too Cute! And appropiate for a MCS.
