Red Bull gives up US driver programme

Red Bull has announced that it is stopping its Driver Search programme in the United States of America. The scheme was set up in 2002 to bring some young Americans to F1 through the European feeder championships. One of the original winners was Scott Speed who next year will be seen racing in one of Red Bull's two F1 teams. Colin Fleming and John Edwards will continue to race with Red Bull backing in Europe but the drinks company has decided not to continue with new Americans, turning instead to an international competition open to many different nationalities.

Hmmm, no more pipeline to F1.

Now we really need a Feeder Series in North and South America!!

Aka Red Bull Driver Enslavement Program.

CCWS would be agood way to segue into F1, but there are a lot of compelling arguments for staying in Champ Car.
