We wanted to let everyone know there will be a film crew at this event shooting footage and conducting interviews for a new show to air on SPEED Channel beginning this July.
This new show is dedicated to the Sport Compact scene, and part of their episodes are dedicated to covering lifestyle events, such as Time Attack and Open Track Days.

This is an opportunity to get you and your car on TV! If you are on the fence about coming to this event, maybe this will encourage you to attend and participate in the Challenge/Time Attack event.
As you all know, this event is open to the general public. If you know people who might be interested, please let them know. The event is just about a week away.

looks like there are a total of 77 registered for the event now. I am dropping out so there will only be 76. Seems like a pretty heavy load to cary 3 run groups and 3 challenge sessions. Not to mention its mothers day and a sunday. I am sure it will be a great event and loads of fun but a little too busy for me.

Well, whoever decided on May 8th is partly to blame, not such a bright idea to schedule something like this on Mother's Day

Unless of course we all bring our moms' and make this a east moms vs. west moms MINI shootout

believe me if it were only the challenge groups I would have stayed in. Its the list of 50 plus open track drivers added to the 3 challenge groups that changed my mind.

On mothers day dont forget about your wife and if you have kids there will be even more unhappy folks to either drag to the track or leave at home.

I really wanted to go because I really want to check out buttonwillow ! There will be other events.

Special Thanks to STEVE of Steve's Auto Clinic &
Randy of M7! With out you guy I would have been a done deal, With a broken belt. These Gentlemen went WAY above & beyond & 250 miles WAY out of there way to help a Mini customer, on Mother's day! Unbelievable, what these Great guys did, CLASS ACT of Mini kindness!!! Steve is the best Mini mechanic on the plant earth. Thanks goes to Jeff of Ireland Engineering, for all his help & support with his BIG brakes & other racy bits! Without Ireland's Brakes, I could never go so deep into the braking zone! I also enjoyed meeting & hanging out with all my new Mini friends! Cheers, Bob

This was a time he pulled down after sitting practically all day due to a belt issue, which was solved by the great service and a 500 mile total trip from STEVE of Steve's Auto Clinic and Randy at M7.

The Official Times are the Handicapped Times.

Congratz to ALL who participated, thos mentioned and those not mentioned equally.

Get ready for the Next one!
