Dedicated F1 cart for racing?

I'm interested in buying a Formula 1 cart, or something like that, for dedicated track and autocross racing.

Something that costs maybe $5k-$7k, so if I total it, I won't feel as bad as if I totaled my MINI.

Any links, pointers, suggestions?

Here’s a link to the Gulf Coast Region news letter. If you look at the October issue of The Pylon on page 14 there’s a FMOD open wheel Solo Vee for sale. I’ve seen this car race and not only is it fast, but looks like a lot of fun to drive as well. He’s looking for $2400.

were are you located?

I have some friends who are seriously into carting, but they are in South Florida.

Montana. There's a couple guys around these parts who cart, so I'll be contacting them, but I also wanted to hear what the NAM folks had to say.

Thanks for the info. Carting looks like fun! Just as long as I remember my ear plugs. Those engines can be LOUD!

Kart! With a K.

That would be the first thing you would need to learn.

The second would be how to keep a *sh-t*-eating grin off your face all the time. I raced karts for 30 years at every major track in the country. There is no better racing anywhere in any vehicle.
