Hey, I'm setting up the MINI vs Honda Challenge, and i'm wondering if anyone with a MINI that is decently fast could race with a honda civic at a 1/4 strip. i'd put video & pics of the race on my site. also the start of the challenge can be seen at teammini.net click MINI vs Honda Challenge.

Hmmm...I wonder where the idea for this came from...cough M7 challenge cough

Is this Stock Vs Stock? Cooper or Cooper S? Civic or Civic Si? What year civic is being used? There are MANY Civics that will spank a mini on the 1/4 strip...the mini isn't a very good drag racer. Put the Civic on a road coarse and the tables would be turned

yes the idea kinda came from m7s challenge. I'd like to do it modded vs modded but we could do one stock vs stock Cooper vs latest Civic non-Si.. What do you think?

I have a friend who has a 10-second Civic as tested on the 1/4 miles run!

 

While I lived in LA, there were 11second, 12second civic's driving around
town as daily drivers... so you wanna be prepared if you really want to
drag race a civic and hope to win. :smile:

 

yes i know a road coruse would be the best. but its gonna be drag. also its not gonna be a 10 or 12 sec civic.

high 13s hear but i need to put in my new clutch first. i havent been up against a civic that can take me yet i know there are some out there though

If I wanted people to participate I wouldn't call my own challenge stupid.

I think theres a member here named 13secmini or something like that, he has a fast mini.

"minine s" has Nitrous plus nearly everything and the kitchen sink.
But he has a stock ECU! And a few sub 14 sec 1/4 mile times.

I got to visit the Mission Control building for the Apollo space program in Houston when I was in the 4th grade, does that count?

 

Never been to texas but I love that show King of the Hill.

Are you putting up some prize money or prizes?...for the Honda when it wins

The "sunny" Land of Cleves......fast against the evil Canadian border......it is tough for us Patriots holding the northern hordes back.....

 

I'm in texas, but I'm not interested in a drag race...come to TWS and you can get all the challanges you want from a fast modded mini to and Extremely fast STOCK mini...it's all there...and then we can practice against the Ferraris and Porsches :smile:
