The decision to give the go-ahead to the changes follows lengthy discussions between the FIA, engine manufacturers and specialists.

Don't forget to bolt on the 30 engineers everywhere you go and the hundreds of engineers back at your garage to analyze all the data and preheat the engine before it can start. And after seeing Vettle's engine in Korea I'm not so sure I want to be responsible for all the spewing metal But yes, well over 500hp is possible with a 1.6L I4

I'm interested to see if the day comes we get a magnetic or electric engine in the F1 cars, or if Hydrogen will gain some traction and beat them too it.

But that's 2011 discussion and this is a 2013 change.

 

and this is about modding your miniF1 car... what about transplanting the F1 1.6L into a mini.. since they are both the same size it should be a bolt on!
