Oh forgot to mention.................both U bonnet stripe (silver) and CHECKMATE side decals replaced over the holiday break as they were getting nasty and starting to fray/peel . MINI vinyl graphics don't last long do they?!?!

Good idea, seriously I managed to get the dealer to replace it under warranty, even though the decals aren't really supposed to be covered
If I was going to keep the car, I would consider having the U stripe painted as well

When we bought our convertible, we found it her on NAM and flew out to Missouri to get it. Before we found it, we were considering out out in San Diego.

Yes, indeed! I have posted it elsewhere across the country. My 1st MINI was sold to a couple in TX, then my 2nd MINI was sold locally, and now the 3rd MINI will be sold to someone............?????
