Front Brake Parts

I'll replacing the front brakes soon on my 09 jcw. I'm going with the wmw plain rotors with ebc red pads. What is all the parts that I need for the brake job. Wmw lists options to add 2 or 4 brake rotor bolts? Do I need new pins?

The bolts are the Torx head screw that is counter-sunk in Way's pics. Big Torx bit required....50 or 52....something like that. If your rotors have been on for a long time or you live in the rust belt, I would go ahead and get them. If you bugger up the Torx, you might destroy the head making it difficult to put back in. Often times pins come with the pad set.

One bolt per rotor you are replacing. You shouldn't need any other hardware unless you mess something up. If you are getting rotors from Way, call him and ask, place your order on the phone.

Doing the front brakes on your JCW you just need the pads, pad sensor and rotors. We just clean the pins off and reuse them. As for the rotor bolts you only need one per rotor. You don't have to replace them but many times its a good idea as they can be stuck and the T50 torx head and get a little messed up so if you try to put the originals back in sometimes you can't get them tight, or if you get them in the next time you do brakes you can't get them out.

Hope that helps.
