rpm flutter at idle
rpm flutter at idle
I have been noticing that I am getting a slight flutter of the rpms at idle speed. It flutters between 500 and 700 rpm, and it's audible. I'm not sure when it started, but I think it was before I used the accessport.
I have a catch can, and AEM intake installed, but I don't think there is a vacuum leak because wouldn't the CEL be on?
any suggestions on where I should look? Has anyone had this problem before?

I have the same problem (but not in a JCW). My rpm at idle varies from 700-1000rpm. This is in a stock 2002 MCS. If you look at my previous posts you'll see I made a thread on this in the last couple of days. No solution as yet, would be very interested if you find one. Best I've found so far is that some people have reported success in clearing up rough idle behavior by replacing old/corroded plugs
Try seeing if it goes with the accessport, I had it and it caused me to have rough idle. Also try turning the ac on and off and seeing if that causes it. Vacuum lines will cause rough idle, carbon buildup can also. How many miles do you have and have you had it carbon cleaned?
