Hello all,
New R55 JCW owner here and was surprised that my engine did not have any Cooper Works badging like I've seen on other model years. Does anyone know which years had the JCW factory badges? A friend of mine that has badges on his 2010 engine had the factory installed JCW kit installed after buying his S. any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

 

The factory produced JCW does not have a "engine badge" on the valve cover.
My 2009 JCW never had one from off the showroom floor.

That badge is part of the JCW tuning kit, which is just a "healthy reminder" that some bolt-on parts were installed.

If you want the adhesive badge (that typically goes on the trunk) as a memento, you can snag it at the dealer:
