Last month I upgraded my 2004 MCS to a 2009 fJCW. Wow, what difference. I'm totally pleased with the move. Here's my question. The original owner ordered some things that are not standard on the JCW: Xenon light, slotted/drilled rotors, JCW engine strut, and maybe some other hidden options I've yet to discover. But there is no cruise control. Is this something he opted out of when ordering the car, or what? I thought cruise control was standard equipment. Even my '04 MCS had cruise. Any comments?
Cruise has always been an option, but you could not get cruise control with the early 2009 factory JCW, I don't remember why, but it was not available from the factory......
The dealer can add cruise control to your JCW. All my dealer had to do was add the controls to the steering wheel (you don't need to replace the complete steering wheel) and program the computer. There is a possibility that you may need some extra stuff depending on your car.
Thanks to all that have replied. It certainly is an option that I can live without. I strictly drive it around town and on the curvy mountain passes here in Utah. Rarely take it on the freeway.
