Does your comp still say 15000 mi until service? I know MINI made an announcement changing the oil service interval to 10k mi. Mine has an April build date yet still has a 15k mi interval showing when the car is started...

 

Iasked my service advisor about that. He pointed out that below the miles-to-go before service is a date which represents the date that the oil is changed (while still under warranty), but the mileage shows 15000 for other service..I'll verify that with the owners' manual:confused

 

Just consulted the OM and read all of the references in the same document.Seems vague, but an important thing to remember is that the info is also kept in the key so ensure that you id the one you use when service is performed.

 

Maybe the new interval was only applied to the N18 engines? I think even 2012 JCWs still have the N14?

 

I also recently spoke with my MA about the oil change interval. He asked for my key fob and after a few seconds, told me mine was the 10K. I told him the dash display shows the 15K and his response was he thought the factory would probably provide a software update soon, that would fix the display.
