Has anybody else been told this for shipping times recently or is he full of ****?
Ordered my 2012 Clubman JCW on 14 Feb and it arrived at the dealer 20 April, so about 9 weeks to Virginia. Probably, a little longer to Oregon. But mine was in the middle of the Aero Kit delay.

Wow, thanks for clearing up on the production delay rumor. I had a dealer tell me that it was still delayed last week.

I have 6-8 dealerships nearby and I got several thousand off MSRP for my JCW last year. Unfortunately us Canadians did not have 0.9% financing available so that ate up some of the savings.

I would skip the cloth. It seemed rather cheap IMO. The Challenge leather is quite nice but leatherette still very nice as well.

Oh nice. What color combo did you get? And do you have a production estimate yet?
Eclipse Grey, with a black roof and black wheels. I bought mine off the lot. I am pretty sure I could have got a little more money off.
On a side note, I highly recommend the recaro seats. I know they are $$$, but IMO they are totally worth it.

Oh nice! Post up some pix!

And heck yeah those Recaros are bankage ($$$). I would get them if they didn't cost so much.

They are actually not that bad, assuming you had planned on getting heated seats and leather already, the Recaros are leather and heated, so it's a $250 premium on that config.

Question: For all JCWs now, is the front grill's (one directly below the MINI emblem) surrounding trim chrome or black?

That's cool they are heated.

All the 2012 JCWs on the lot (Coupe, Hardtop) as well as my Clubman JCW and the other Clubman JCW that just came have the Chrome grill surround. However, I haven't cracked the code on why the side fJCW Aero Kits are different now from those that were on the lot back in February. Not sure if it is a Post March production reason, or a Clubman vs Coupe/Hardtop reason, or possibly old parts lying around they need to get rid of (ie: kind of looks like the old 2010/2011 side Aero Kit).

I would definitely sit in the Recaros before ordering them. One person earlier said that the bolster dug into his thigh, and actually when I sat in them they didn't hug me at all, I felt like I was swimming in the seat. I'm not a particularly small guy either at 5'11" 175. You can imagine how my wife felt. For comparison the seat in the new Subaru BRZ fit me perfectly. Also, the new M5 seats... man those are nice.

As for the grille surrounds they are now all chrome. You can't even order the JCW black grille surrounds sold by vendors because they seem to have slightly changed the lower trim bumper fitting.

The dealer at Stevens Creek was pushing the Recaros on me but didn't have them in a car on the lot for me to try out.

I'm going with the Cloth for now and then if he gets one on the lot before my car goes into production I'll sit in them and decide if I want to change it.

I've been starting to negotiate with another dealership here in the bay area (Mini of Concord) that Invisib0l recommended. Stevens Creek was insisting only giving me $250 off if I want .9% financing but will give me $1000 for a USAA discount but I have to use their financing (currently at 2.5%). I'm hoping Concord will swing a better deal and allow me to use the .9% financing!

What is the max months they allow with the 0.9% financing?

Yeah.. Stevens Creek countered on her car and threw in $300 more in accessories (Checkered Dash installed + Sport Stripes) to match the deal from Concord.

I didn't want to **** around with Stevens Creek anymore and just handled everything over email and phone with Concord. Got my production number today!

Nice! Yeah, he's pretty straightforward. When's your production week? Mines the 20th week of the year. So about May 14th.

And Checkered Dash... That sounds pretty cool. I actually never looked into that. Is she pretty stoked about that?

I highly recommend searching for a used JCW. Mine was less than a year old, and I got it for $25k (KBB had it valued at like $33k). Had to drive 200 miles to pick it up, but it was worth it because I got to drive it back!

Ninja edit: Whoops, too late. That's what I get for not reading the whole thread...
