Coming from STI I had Cobb AP loaded with software that allowed for FFS. My JCW is stock and I tried a FFS the other day out of habit ... It worked ... the motor did not 'over-rev' ... I simply held the throttle down and shifted near red line and repeated without lifting throttle ... worked great!
I do this fairly regularly, in the mini turbo lag isn't much of an issue but in cars with larger turbo it enables you to shift without loosing boost. If you are familiar with the technique it isn't too hard on the tranny. I have 127k on my G35 no lift shifting since new and about 55k on the mini and never a complaint form the tranny. If you have never done it before, not sure i would go practice on a newer car, when i first began doing it i had an e36 and between that and the 7200RPM clutch dumping i made quick work of the tranny and diff. the clutch, although it had plenty of life left on it, had to be replaced due to the fingers snapping off the pressure plate
I can do this all day on my bike, upshift and downshift but its without the clutch. Just let off on the throttle and shift without the clutch. I wouldnt try it on a car though. I hear guys do that FFS around here but most of the time its cause they miss getting into gear lol.
If you guys do it and have no problems cool, enjoy.

You can do it on your bike because it uses dog cut gears. I'm not saying it's impossible to do with a spiral cut gearbox but it's significantly more difficult.
also call it Powershifting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powershifting in some stick shift turbo car if you do it fast enough before the redline you will get zero lag constant boost shift.
Back in the day (circa 1963), it was called a power shift! That expression showed up in a Beach Boys tune ("Shut Down", I think) - the one about a race between a fuel injected Stingray and a ram inducted Dodge 413.
