'11 JCW + Oil Catch Can

I'm waiting on delivery on my '11 JCW and reading in the threads, it seems like it's a good thing to get a OCC. But most of the threads I've been reading, mostly the ppls that are getting the catch cans are MCS owners.

Are there any '11 owners that have/are getting an OCC?

the engine is still the old one as same as the old MCS, so yes, why not.

here's the opinion from the NM:
Catch can is always good to have. It catches oil vapor from engine breathing hose instead of dumping it back in to the combustion side. Although Mini engines doesn't puke out that much oil through the breathing valve, it is always good to have. You just gotta weigh in the cost and legality factors. Catch can is not legal in CARB enforced states.

The 2011 MCS gets the new N18 engine and the JCWs still get the older version N14. The reason for that is the N14 engine is easier to tune unlike the N18 ones where they updated the ECU. Plus, they don't want to stress the engine with higher boost/horsepower on a new engine.

I've been trying to see where that is stated as I'm not going to buy one and get failed on my California smog test. Can you show me a link where it shows it's not CARB legal?
