Tires Feathering

I have a 2009 JCW Clubman and my winter tires as well as my summers are feathering on the inside half of the tires. It seems like a camber issue.

Is this a normal problem to have with the JCW's? Is the camber set up this way for performance?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Is it stock, or have you done some stuff to it, like lowered it?

If it's stock, I'd say you need an alignment....

If you've lowered it, could be a bunch of things....but either way first I'd put it on the alignment machine and see what it says. Toe out will wear the inside edges too. Also, have you rotated the tires? I do mine about every 5K - really helps with the wear....

The feathering has more to do with toe than camber and can be effected by a bad shock or even bushings.

My summer tires are not bad, they are on the stock 17" rims, but my winter tires are bad. They are on 17" aftermarket rims with a higher offset..... Could the offset be contributing to feathering on the inside of the tires?
