Looking for some comprehensive technical info on what makes a factory JCW different from an MCS. I've read the reviews and all of the high level comments, but they don't seem to cover the level of detail I was hoping for.

More specifically:

1. Strengthened gearbox: in what way? Cryo treated? Are the ratios the same?
2. How has the clutch been strengthened?
3. Uprated engine internals: which internals? rings? seals? Strengthened how?

...and the list continues for both internal and external changes. Can anyone point me to such an article or outline the details for me?

Great link, got me salivating. I also noticed that JCWs in Canada are delivered in a slightly different configuration. Apparently, all Canadian cars get the MFSW, painted arches, and a few other things. No idea where I'd find that exact list.

 

Along with heated front windshields.
