Just picked up my new JCW hardtop Thursday. Blown away. I have been driving an '04 S for the last five years and have been happy. Was even having "ordering remorse". And wondered if I was crazy to go from MINI to MINI. But not anymore. What a sweet ride. Lightening quick, responsive and shifting is so smooth-looks somewhat like my old MINI but the drive is totally new . I hope to have some pics up soon.

Very nice to hear. I think that most of us felt the same way when we moved on from the R53. I had a little bit of "break up" feeling. But like in those situations, once you move on you never look back!

Yes, I still have my '04 (for sale currently) and felt a little sadness at moving up. But it did not last long after I drove the new one!
It is going back in Monday as their was an ordering mixup I did not get the white turn signals. Supposedly, they can modify the xenons and then they will replace the rears and they are offering to do so gratis. My MA is even picking it up for me and taking it to the dealership-can't beat that. So I will get picks up then. Maybe I will take with an without so that anyone debating can see the difference....
