Check Engine light every time the temps drop below 15 degrees Fahrenheit

I have a 2018 S All4 and everytime the temps get extremely cold outside the car gets a check engine light. Nothing changes in drivability or any noticeable.

Ideas?

That happens to me as well with my 2017 All4. Several times I have taken it into the shop when it happened. I think all they do is send the computer info to MINI, do an oil change, and reset it. They made it sound like it doesn't happen everywhere and may have something to do with the temperature and humidity affecting the fuel injection.

Not to alarm anyone but just keep an eye on it and check the codes every time. My issue was a cracked fuel injector.

I had a similar issue with an R56. Below 10 deg C it would give me a CEL. Pulled the code it was misfire on cylinder three but would be fine the next time I start the car in warmer temps. Swap coil packs, waited for a cold day, CEL came on same misfire code on same cylinder. Got new spark plugs same issues same cylinder. Thought it was intake manifold clogged with soot and residue, walnut blasted no help. Finally changed the fuel injector and that fixed the issue.
