There seem to be several ‘how to’ videos on the subject but none for the F 60 so I thought I would ask here as my first post...
I was able to remove the cover beneath the hood and access the back of the side scuttle through the opening directly above it. Once I got to the back side of the scuttle there were two sets of clips, one silver and one white. I was able to release several of the silver clips which partially released the silver portion of the scuttle but could not release them all and I was afraid of breaking the silver part of the emblem trying to fully release it.
That’s as far as I got! I was unable to release any of the white clips. Is there a technique or a special tool that I should be aware of to release the silver and the white clips? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You don't need to remove the cover under the hood, nor do you have to release the silver clips (unless you want to remove the silver trim ring from the black trim base, in which case it's easier to do that after you have the full trim piece out.)Originally Posted by 3S1

There are five clips that secure the scuttle to the car. Three on the back edge near the door, and two on the front edge near where the scuttle comes to a point. I found it easiest to open the door, pop the three clips on that edge, then the two at the front. Use a plastic trim removal tool (spudger) and put something (thin towel, old t-shirt, couple layers of painters' tape) over the edge of the bodywork that you're prying against. They pop off pretty easily. Once they're off, you can push the silver clips to release the "chrome" trim ring.
