Greetings!

I'm looking for recommendations on upgrading our current screen in our 2016 F57 Mini to a touch screen similar to the ones found in the newer model Minis. Our vehicle does have Harmon Kardon which from my understanding takes a special upgrade considering it has fiber optics. This information is from the installer that installed our CarPlay upgrade. Any recommendations on a quality upgrade would be truly appreciated.

Hi - did your car come with the 6.5” screen or the 8.8” screen?

Either way, you’ll need a new headunit to support a touchscreen.

I’ve done this to my own car (a 2017 F56 JCW that came with the 6.5” non-touchscreen snd HK) and now sell used parts in good condition, that are pre-coded to the car, to make things as plug and play as possible.
