My name is Brad and I'm a service advisor for Deer Pond Auto Inc in Leicester, MA. We have a 2022 Mini Cooper 1.5L Base Convertible with 254 miles on it and a manual transmission. We replaced the engine and after repairs found out the transmission was compromised. I looked into a rebuild but parts are simply unavailable, and I can't seem to find anything used. The transmission I need is Part #23008671580. Any help is appreciated.

Based on that part number its B36C transmission , 23008671580 GS6-58BG - ABJ is nla from MINI and now all they have it the reman which is stocked in germany 23008671580 . GS6-58BG - TABJ

If I understand you correctly, I can use a manual transmission from a 1.5L built between 2016 -2019, as long as it matches one of those interchangeable part numbers? I appreciate your help, thank you.

 

Should but the trans calls out B36C (newer engines). Might be something internal that changed or something on the housing, its hard to tell. I would try to get a 20' 21' 22', worth a shot.
